In Honor of Earth Day…

Hi y’all! (don’t hate on my grammar because I’m from Texas! )
Today is Earth Day! And in honor of Earth Day, I wanted to give you a list of a few things that will happen on our planet over the next 365 days:

Earth will travel 1.6 million miles in its annual journey around the Sun, the 4.6-billionth such round-trip. It will rotate about its axis exactly once.

Eco-friendly Wedding Planning: Soy Candles

I love the look of a candle-lit reception or ceremony.  There’s something uber sexy and romantic about it!  Plus, its an easy and cost-effective way to make your reception or ceremony look elegant without the high price tag.  When planning your green, eco-friendly wedding, don’t forget that there are eco-friendly products out there when choosing your candles!

Soy candles are my personal favorite, but another option is beeswax candles.  Luckily, you can find these options all over the Internet!
Happy planning!

Wedding Green Tip #6: Why Buy When You Can Rent… A Cake!

I must say, I’m floored by this green tip.  It was by no way on purpose and was totally a happy accident.  I found the coolest thing on the web this week.  In efforts of reducing their carbon footprint, some brides are actually renting their wedding cake.  Hold the music.  It sounded completely off to me too!  How do you rent a wedding cake you ask??  Well… to be honest, the whole idea is simply genius!

Things will be back to normal next week. expect some fabulous photos from the Bahamas, another green tip on Wednesday, photos from a recent Church by the Glades …

Think about the last wedding you were invited to… The mail comes, and there it is, for once its not a bill, but a wedding invitation. That wedding invitation is a sneak peek into the entire event. It will tell you the theme (does the invite look formal or casual), it will tell you the place, the time. What it might also tell you is… I’m having a green wedding! This leads us to this week’s Green Wedding Tip:

So last week I introduced our going green practices here at Forever Photographers and gave our first ever green tip. Now, being a wedding photographer, it wouldn’t be right if none of my green tips were in no way wedding related. What’s the fun in that? Besides, isn’t the whole purpose of planning your wedding to get ideas?? Right, so that brings us to our Wedding Green Tip for the week:
Green Wedding Tip #2: Size Matters
In the same way the amount of people you invite to …
